Ground X has launched a digital asset wallet called “Klip” on June 3rd, 2020. Klip is easily accessible through the popular Korean messenger app named Kakaotalk. Providing easy access making transactions with coins and tokens, Klip was able to attract people regardless of their interest or knowledge in blockchain. Users are able to send and receive virtual assets while only providing their Kakaotalk account information and verification.
Ground X launched its first-ever blockchain platform ‘Klaytn’ in 2018. Through Klaytn, people were allowed access to making transactions through a web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox. This transition from a web browser to a device is a huge step for blockchain programs. Noticeably, Klip has a new feature called ‘Cards’, where users can exchange with one another. Cards are just like tokens or coins that you can send or receive with a certain value or purpose. Cards are distinguished as non-fungible tokens (NFT), a non-fungible token is a special type of cryptographic token which represents something unique. For example, once games are included in blockchain programs, game icons or items are ‘cards’ that people can sell to each other. Uniquely, Klip has included card exchanging features while expecting the release of games later on. Later on, users will be able to create their own cards with different values and purposes and send them to friends or family.
The first step to creating a Klip account is to be logged into your Kakaotalk account. With this account, anyone can register into Klip much easier and faster. Unlike Klaytn, which gives users their own private key along with a Klaytn wallet key used for signing in, Klip only requires users to create a six-digit passcode to log in. This small yet distinct change can attract more users to start their first digital wallets. Klip also offers a ‘Welcome Card’ to logged-in users which can be used to win prizes in the future.
By supplying users with a starting amount of 50 KLAY, first-time users will be able to experience the transactions effortlessly. A new type of way to gift or exchange tokens and cards will allow users to experience this new technology.
